Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB95)
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

These are the last recorded words of our Lord Jesus in the Gospel according the Matthew.  Jesus didn’t say, “May I suggest…” or “If you would like…”  This was His last command to the Believers.  In the Gospel according to Mark, it is written this way:

Mark 16:15 (NASB95)
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Again, this isn’t a suggestion or even an option.  Believers are commanded to “Go”.  Although Kona Faith Center is not a mega church, it is a Word church that believes what the Bible says is true, and we are to fulfill the commands that our Lord gave us, as Spirit-filled, people of faith.  It is never difficult to do anything God sends us forth to do. 1 John 5:3 (CJB) says it like this:

”For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome,”

The people of Kona Faith Center support missions locally, on the mainland and internationally through different mission ministries.  We support these mission ministries financially, but we also support these mission ministries with our presence.  We send teams to India, the Philippines, Guatemala, and Mexico, and we participate with our local Prison Ministry and Pregnancy Center.

The important thing for Kona Faith Center is that we have a relationship with the mission ministries we support.  This insures that our finances and time are spent on mission ministries that have a like-minded vision for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our mission team members are also people who attend Kona Faith Center.

Our teams include youth (high school age) and adults.  Each missionary is responsible for raising their own funds for their participation as well as for giving to those we minister to wherever the Lord sends us.  We do construction trips, youth camps, children’s ministry, leadership conferences, worship in hula and song and anything else the Lord desires to do through us.

Occasionally we have some of our mission ministries send representatives to Kona Faith Center so that all of our church gets to know the people we support.
